Milbon is a respected Japanese professional brand, and its signature treatments are multi-step rituals, the best-known being a five-step InPhenome post-colour system. The steps work in sequence: penetrating, repairing layers first, then sealing, finishing layers that lock in shine. The result, especially right after a colour service, is hair that feels rebuilt and soft and looks seriously glossy.

It's most at home as a post-colour treatment, because colouring stresses the hair and a repair-and-seal ritual afterward leaves it in much better shape. Think of it as a premium finishing step rather than a standalone fix.

Honest scope

Milbon conditions, deposits protein and lipids, and glosses. It's cosmetic repair and finish. As with any protein-led treatment, it's balanced with moisture and not over-stacked, and it doesn't rebuild broken disulfide bonds the way Olaplex does. It pairs well with bond repair rather than replacing it.
